is inspected and validated to ensure full support for 10BASE-T
Ethernet and Token Ring.
* Review and validate existing network design. SynOptics reviews your
existing network design, while validating the technical requirements
of your proposed plan.
* Equipment is unpacked and inspected. Every SynOptics product
received at your site is carefully unpacked and examined before the
installation proceeds.
* Installation of intelligent hubs. At a single site, any combination
of 10 System 2000(tm) or System 3000(tm) intelligent hubs are mounted in
customer-provided standard EIA equipment racks, on shelves or in a
table-top arrangement.
* Installation and configuration of intelligent hub modules.
LattisNet(R) city, local bridge and network management modules
for Ethernet and Token Ring are installed and configured in
intelligent hubs.
* Installation of transceivers and media filters. LattisNet
transceivers and media filters are installed at each station. Patch
cables are also installed to link end stations with wall jacks.

as-built documentation identifying locations, configurations, model
numbers and serial numbers of all LattisNet products. Warranty
documentation is also completed.
* Perform functional testing. SynOptics runs your newly-installed
network through a cycle of tests to ensure intelligent hub and
module operations and configuration integrity of network management
modules. All operational testing is fully documented.
